Blogtober Series: Day to Date Look: Sequin Top

I was strolling in Cato about a month ago, checking out their fall collection. When the seasons change, I like to check out my favorite stores to see what I can pair with my old clothes and what I want to add in my wardrobe.

I’ve been shopping in Cato since I was about 14 years old. I felt like it was a hidden gem because they carried nice things. People always associated this store with “old women.” Okay, granted some things were a little too much for me but there were trendy items. Let’s fast forward a few years and this store definitely got the “trendy memo.” In my time shopping there, I don’t think I found a beautiful sequins  top like this one. I get so many compliments and for $30, this is a great quality top.

Date Night

This look is definitely a date night look. For some reason, I kept the accessories to a minimum but the pieces in the casual look below would work very well. I wanted to pair the top with my tulle skirt and nude heels. Sequins and tulle screams date night. A nice black satin clutch would go great. You don’t t want to carry a huge heavy handbag on date night. 😀

Casual Day

On the next look, I wanted to be casual. You know, throw on some jeans and flats with it. The cross body also was purchased from Cato as well and went perfectly with my flats. Gold jewelry was the best to pair which made the look comfy glam.

How do you like your sequins? 🤔

Leopard and Stripes

img_0065On Wednesdays, we wear leopard and stripes! Have you ever been on Pinterest to find out an outfit inspiration? Yup, that’s me. Wait, have you ever seen an outfit that you absolutely love, then realize you don’t have any of the clothes? Yup, unfortunately that’s me again.

I wanted to look like a Pinterest picture but I had to look to see what I already have in my closet. Everyone has stripes and leopard! And who doesn’t have a chambray shirt? These three items are pretty much basics for your wardrobe. Let’s put it together. I decided to keep it simple and comfy today by adding jeggings and a long dainty necklace.

In Charlotte, it’s acceptable to layer because the temperature fluctuates…a lot. In the morning, it’s 49 degrees, and around 5pm, it will be 80 degrees! This will allow me a chance to take off the chambray and tie it around my waist. What’s your best leopard and stripe look?

JustFab Trench: Two Styles

JustFab has been doing their thing lately! Have you guys visited their site? If you didn’t know, JustFab is a monthly subscription program that allows you to take a style quiz and the site picks out items based on your style preferences also giving you full access to the rest of the items. When I first joined, it was a shoe and handbag selection with minimal accessories. Fast forward a couple years later, and they have improved their shoe /purse selection and even added clothing. The best part is they have a plus size clothing selection! I was super excited and they have great quality clothing.

This soft drape trench hailed all the way from JustFab and it’s not like anything I own, so I had to style it in two ways.

Check it out.😏

I love this trench. It’s super long which is okay because I can wear dresses or pants. This dress from Forever 21 was the perfect color to bring out the color of the trench also going back to that fall trend!!

I kept this look simple and casual with jeans, tank and the same leopard flats. This jacket is very lightweight so it won’t keep you warm in colder weather. It has this soft suede material that’s very smooth to the touch. If you want to get one of your very own  head over to JustFab!
