As you know, wedding seasons are popular during the spring and summer and I’m sure you may have invitations under your belt, but do you have anything to wear? I’m sure most people don’t take the recommended dress code that is usually on the invitation serious, but its the least you can do when you’re going to be consuming free food and alcohol.
When it comes to weddings in the spring and summer, bright colors and florals are most appropriate. After my wedding, we were supposed to attend this really nice dinner where we dress all fancy, but it was so hot and everyone wanted to be relaxed. So, I pushed it back in my closet. When I took a second look at this dress, I thought this would be the perfect dress to wear to a spring wedding.
When I saw this dress, I immediately had to have it. Reason being, for me, this is something that would bring me out of my comfort zone when it comes to my body. I’m not a fan of bodycon dresses and I usually steer clear, but this caught my eyes. I’ve talked about ASOS plenty of times in previous posts, but this brand is becoming a favorite of mine.
Let’s talk about this dress, shall we? The ruffles are an immediate attention seeker, not to mention the one shoulder form-fitting silhouette. Can you say sexy, yet classy? The length is very modest for those who are not interested in wearing anything too revealing and the scuba material makes the dress very comfortable. I got a size 20, which is my true size in the ASOS brand. If you are interested in this dress, check it out here.
Because this dress speaks volumes on its own, I wanted to add statement accessories like these trendy tassel earrings from H&M and these floral block heels. This dress is completely out of my comfort zone, but I’m glad I took that risk. Best thing about this dress, is it’s under $30.
Are you invited to any spring/summer weddings?
Love your outfit! great post 🙂
