Don’t you just love the warmer weather? Don’t get me wrong, I love the cold with the snow (mostly for the fashion) but there is nothing like having glowing skin glistening  in the sun. As a young woman, it’s imperative that I care for my skin, keep drinking plenty water to stay hydrated and exfoliate to rid the dead skin, not to mention maintaining the moisture during the warmer months. There’s not a moment that Benjamin doesn’t tell me that my skin feels like a soft pillow or it looks unreal because of how smooth it looks and feels. Such a nice compliment from him đ
Here are my favorite tips to having summertime fine skin. You probably heard them before so remember:
- Stay hydrated on WATER. It cleans the body of unwanted toxins.
- Exfoliate your skin.
- Keep your moisturized, please.
Pretty simple, huh? I’m pretty sure everyone has the first one but not a lot people exfoliates. Exfoliating your skin rids your skin of dead layers, making room for the new layer. I have fallen in love with the Nailah’s Shea Exfoliating Sugar Scrub in the Mint Tea scent. I looovvvveeee this because my feet loves this stuff. My feet becomes calloused easily and sometimes a bi-weekly pedicure isn’t enough. In between appointments, I have to find a way to get rid of the old skin, and this scrub helps.
While I’m in the shower, I take about a tablespoon size and scrub the bottom and sides of my feet, watching all the dead skin disappear. Make sure you’re sitting down because this stuff can get slippery, thanks to the awesome oils, coconut, olive, peppermint essential, and eucalyptus oil. This left my feet feeling baby soft and the rest of my skin thanked me as well. You can immediately tell a difference before and after. You feel like a different person because your skin feels unreal.
Sometimes, a great exfoliating session can do a skin well, but don’t skip moisturizing! Â Let’s talk about the Lemongrass Tabasam whipped Shea butter. This scent reminds me of the Lush lemongrass bath bomb that leaves a fresh aftersmell.
This is best used right after the shower on damp skin. Whipped Shea butter and coconut oil are a match made in heaven. They’re  both crucial to skin hydration! After massaging it into damp skin, my skin is soft, moisturized and shiny and lasts for hours.
The best part of these ingredients is that their 100% organic and I know that is crucial and important for a lot of people. The base ingredient is Shea butter, which is a universal product. Shea butter can be used for your hair, face, and body. It also aids in acne and other skin issues, like eczema. Other ingredients in Nailah’s Shea products include coconut oil, which nourishes skin, And several organic essential oils, which were used for healing purposes.
You can find plenty body butters, soaps, and scrubs on her website here and I learned that she will be having subscription boxes soon! Check it out so you can get summertime fine!
