Natural Hair: Flat Twist Out on Blown out Hair

Today’s style is all about a flat twist out. There are so many ways to achieve this look. You can do this on wet, damp, or dry hair. The key to this style is making sure your hair is moisturized and detangled. I started on freshly cleansed hair. I wanted to work with dry stretched hair because I did not want the excess shrinkage. The picture below is my achieved results.

Blow Out Process: I’m using an Andis  blow dryer that has the comb attatchment (unfortunately, it broke.) that I found at Walmart for around $25. In order for me to get that stretched look, I had to hold my hair taut and run the dryer up and down until stretched and dried. I then took a wide tooth comb at the end to make sure my hair was stretched to its max.

Twist Process: I decided to go for medium to large sections for a wavy look and I used the Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai twisting butter. I felt like my hair need a little more moisture so I sprinkled a VERY LITTLE water/olive oil mix. Seriously, it was so little, I don’t know why I used it, lol!

Below is my process on how I achieved this look and I was very pleased with the results. My hair was super soft and the definition was incredible. The one thing I learned about the Camille Rose Naturals Line is that my hair is always moisturized and styles are defined and shiny.
